SOLUTION OF POLYNOMIAL SYSTEM USING PHCPACK

ABSTRACT

In the year 1225, Leonardo of Pisa studied the equation x³ + 2x² + 10x -20 = 0 and produced x = 1.368 808 107. Nobody knows by what method Leonardo found this value. In this paper, we examined this Leonardo’s equation using iterative, Newton’s and phc (Polynomial Homotopy Continuation) and compare the results.
