ABSTRACT

This paper is a literature review of the Impact of Universal Basic Education (UBE) Hausa language curriculum on literacy development. The Universal Basic Education curriculum is the basic education roadmap published by the federal government of Nigeria to guide the provision of basic education in Nigeria. Some of the objectives of the Hausa language curriculum include: to make pupils/students self-paced and innovative in Hausa language. And to develop sound foundation and competency that would motivate students/pupils to further their knowledge in Hausa language among others. The curriculum was found with deficiencies such as inadequate basic mathematical content and history of late statesmen and fallen heroes of Nigeria were not covered in the curriculum. The paper recommended that, the curriculum should cover syllable formation and how to break words and Hausa writing skills should be included in the curriculum from primary one to six.

ABSTRACT

This study investigates how mixed-use facility design in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, incorporates environmentally friendly and socially responsible practices. The study emphasizes how crucial sustainable building is to combating environmental deterioration and promoting inclusivity in communities. This paper emphasizes eco-design, social responsiveness, and mixed-use developments as successful approaches to attaining sustainability by reviewing previous research and new theories. The results show that these tactics improve social justice and economic sustainability in addition to lessening their negative effects on the environment. In the end, the study offers a road map for using sustainable design principles in upcoming projects.
